I called Affordable Appliance Repair specifically because they indicated they worked on Fisher-paykel, The workman came out, fixed the problem promptly, and the dishwasher has worked fine for several weeks. Good experience.

  Washing machine stopped mid-cycle and we began to smell something burning or overheating. Don cane out to check it out and correct the problem.

Don came out at the time we had agreed on and the washing machine worked, of course. He said he knew what it was and that in time the motor would quit; but, in the meantime, there was no danger of fire or anything if we continued to use it. He charged us zip, nada, nothing, and told us to call him when it quit. This kind of service is unheard of these days!

  Digital display on Whirlpool double oven was replaced.

We called Affordable Appliance Repair because we were having an issue with our whirlpool double wall oven. After calling Whirlpool and asking them why the digital display would only last four years they told us that their might be a recall, but then assured us that our model didn’t have the ‘problem” Ugh. Affordable was extremely prompt with the call back to set up an appointment. (Actually called on a holiday if I remember correctly). When the service tech was on their way, they gave a very narrow window regarding the time they would be arriving, and when they ran into traffic on the way, they called to let my wife know, and they still arrived within the window. The service tech brought all the parts they thought might be needed and were able to quickly and completely diagnose the issue and fix it.

  Replace icemaker and unplugged defrost drain.

I have been having trouble with my freezer in my Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator – icemaker was overflowing, there was a pool of ice forming at the bottom of the freezer and a fine frost on everything. I had another company here to look at which was awful. They quoted me over $400 to replace the icemaker alone and said it would be about $100 to try and diagnose the other issues to start. The guy was rude, dirty and unprofessional. I sent them packing after having to pay the $70 trip charge. I called Affordable Appliance Repair after seeing them on the List on New Year’s Day. Jerry called me first thing the next morning and was at the house by that afternoon. He was an hour late, but he only gave a 2-hour window of arrival and it was short notice. So I didn’t mind that. Jerry was very professional and did a great job. He had all the parts with him and was able to get everything working. He cleaned up the mess in the freezer and left things looking good. He even call the next day to make sure everything was working correctly. I was very impressed and felt comfortable having him in the house. I would highly recommend.
